About |
The Kadina Wallaroo Moonta Band (KWM) is very proud of its long heritage. There were originally 3 separate bands located in each of the Copper Triangle Towns on the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia hence the name!
There are 25 in the Band who rehearse most Monday nights at the dedicated Bandroom at Wallaroo and we have some players from Adelaide who love getting away from the city and augment the band when we play for special events such as the Kernewek Lowender Festival.
The band plays on Australia Day, Anzac Day and at several Christmas Pageants as well as annual concerts at the Wallaroo Town Hall. The ‘live’ music totally lifts every event and draws a large audience.
Despite being a Brass Band, woodwind players are welcomed. We are a very friendly group of musicians and present ‘ear tickling’ music to the community and have a great following. I am very proud to be the Bandmaster of this highly respected and loved community band, please don’t hesitate to contact me for more information.
